06/05/2008 regarding anti-olympic crises and tibet issuessry, i don have chinese input.
most of us are from china, and i would say we all love our country.
but from a more objective perspective, china has done many wrong over the years. the chinese businessmen reaching out to the world, eagerly expanding their income, bringing persperity back home, but not all of them are honest businessmen... there are lots of political, economic and social issues generated by our country.
in the anti-chinese protest world-wide, chinese media focused on how unfairly we have been treated. yes, i am very sad and angry over it, i am a reb-blooded chinese guy. however, chinese media never mention why we have been treated like such. they intentionally divert our attention away from the wrong they did.
this is a vivid example of turing media into a govt tool.
the chinese govt promots dishonesty. in the tian-an-men square event, govt ordered tanks to run over weaponless university students, this has been video by US stattelite, but chinese govt refuse to admit that they sent tanks until this very day.
look at SARS. how many people died how many families destroyed due to long-practiced dishonsty in our govt, they tried to cover it up.
look at what our govt did at sudan, they were wiping all untire race from the surface of the earth, but our govt focused on making money and ignored the life loss of thousands.
now, all i am trying to say is that we are indeed from a lovely cournty but our country had done many wrong. we should not blindly protect our countries in cases like this. the westerners look down on us for various reasons. we should not merely remain angry and angry only. we have to stand up, and show them what we really are, however, we must realise that we do have things which we have to change and improve on.
well, it is not likely that we can over throw our communist regime, and i do not intend to do so cos many blood-shed will take place.
we have to face then learn from the mistakes, if we ever wish to improve.
well, if anyone thinks that our glorious govt has done all good, all perfect, then forget about what i said above.
btw, i am neither for nor aggainst ZD cos apparently it wasn't the minority that longs for independence. many, many wish so.
i am just thinking, if the tibetans are not happy to be happy of the country and wish to govern themselves. why not just offer our best wishes and let them go?
lol, i know many hate me now.
this was actually a reply i posted on jibo's space, reproduced at my own space now. Comments (1)
